Agerpoint is proud to welcome Stan Dotson to its Advisory Board. Stan is a respected technology leader in Digital, Agriculture and Drug Development spaces with more than 30 years experience at Bayer Crop Sciences (via Monsanto) delivering growth through breakthrough products, scalable platforms, and partnerships.

As a former VP, Digital and Information Technology Strategy, Member of Crop Strategy and Portfolio Management Leadership Team, Stan served as a catalyst to transform both Bayer and Ag by developing and executing digital transformation strategies, developing digital platforms, championing innovation and accelerating growth via precision Ag partnerships and acquisitions. During the critical period after Bayer’s acquisition of Monsanto, Stan relocated to Germany to play a key role to accelerate both Bayer’s digital transformation agenda and the successful integration. As a Distinguished Science Fellow, Stan delivered R&D breakthroughs in molecular breeding and genomics technologies for both vegetables and row crop improvement, including the development of high throughput genotyping platforms, functional genomics platforms, driving the expanded impact of seed chipping and successfully managing strategic partnerships in gene editing and genomics. In addition, Stan has a proven track record in delivering game changing products, such as drought tolerant crops. To further assure future business growth, Stan was a committed mentor and champion for the next generation of diverse leadership.

Currently, Stan’s passion is to work creatively with teams that bring together business and technology leaders to develop breakthrough products in unmet market spaces.  He has a strong interest in shaping how agricultural companies can work within ecosystems activated by blockchain, IoT, geospatial and AI technologies to create greater value for their customers and enhance their ability to sustainably deliver safe, nutritious, and abundant food.

Stan has a B.S. in BioAgricultural Sciences from Colorado State University, a M.S. in Plant Breeding and a Ph.D. in Plant Genetics from the University of Minnesota. He is an author on 14 refereed publications and is an inventor on 33 issued patents and 48 pending patent applications
