Geospatial Technology Company Agerpoint Welcomes New CEO

Agerpoint, Inc., a leader in geospatial intelligence and data engineering for natural environments, has appointed Kevin Lang as the company’s Chief Executive Officer.

Lang brings a wealth of experience to his role as a seasoned executive, entrepreneur and thought leader within the emerging technology realm.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kevin as CEO at Agerpoint,” said Dan Levine, managing member of Tenfore Holdings and an Agerpoint board member. “He combines commercial instincts with technological prowess. He also seeks to foster a customer-centric mindset in each area of the business. There is a large, unique opportunity that lies ahead of Agerpoint with implications for food production, food security, economic development, and the environment. We look forward to Kevin’s leadership as we pursue this mission.”

With a sizable patent portfolio, Agerpoint utilizes a combination of artificial intelligence, high performance computing, computer vision and advanced analytics to process, extract objects from and analyze data from multiple geospatial sensors including LiDAR, hyperspectral, multispectral, infrared and visual cameras. Data is acquired using terrestrial vehicles, mobile devices, drones and satellites and fused with other information and human observations to create a highly precise, quantifiable and interactive digital record. There is increasing interest in and exploration into using Agerpoint’s technology for carbon offset verification, correlating above ground plant measures with sub-soil information.

Agerpoint manages and delivers information via a suite of cloud software products. The company also provides supporting services such as advisory, data acquisition, training and custom software development to facilitate technology adoption.

Agerpoint serves a range of clients across agrochemical and food and beverage R&D, forestry, production agriculture, government and conservation organizations.

Prior to Agerpoint, Kevin was Co-Founder and CEO of geospatial startup, spadeGEO. Before that, he was General Manager of Agriculture for PrecisionHawk, a commercial drone technology provider. He also held roles with Deloitte Consulting, the World Economic Forum and began his career in engineering product development for John Deere. Kevin has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and an MBA from Wake Forest University.
